In this role, you help develop and execute social media campaigns, creating shareable content and deliverables to support greater brand awareness and engagement. You understand the social media sphere, both the big-name platforms and developing niches, and are able to craft sincere and timely content to produce viral engagement. JOB POSTING: Social Media Marketing Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and work in deadline-oriented team setting
- Oversee all social media accounts (building and maintaining social media presence, monitoring, scheduling and engaging)
- Developing social media content plans that are consistent with the company’s brand identity
- Brainstorm campaigns
- Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media
- Manage all promotions and advertisements
- Develop strategies to increase followership and engagement
- Prepare reports on campaigns based on analytics
- Assisting in product photoshoots and setting up the space
- Utilizing Instagram stories
- Resizing photos and basic video editing
- Manage daily administrative tasks to ensure the Marketing department runs smoothly
- Assist in marketing duties, such as event and project coordination
Computer skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Adobe Acrobat Pro and Photoshop
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Dropbox, Salesforce
- Experience working with content management systems, WordPress and Google Business is a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Houzz
- Demonstrable personal presence on various social media platforms
- Portfolio of successful social media content
- Great communication skills
- Eagerness to learn about new innovations and software
- Excellent writing skills
- Hootsuite or other scheduling website knowledge
- Keen aesthetic sense and eye for detail
- Knowledge of the Interior Design / Architecture industry is a plus
- Team player and a positive attitude
- Quickly teachable and always grow personally and professionally
- Possess a balance of creativity with good analytical skills
- Ability to work quickly and shift gears on a dime
- Must be comfortable working in the office full-time, 5 days a week
