LYNX Telescopic Revitalizes Community Clubhouse in Chester County
The Preserve at Marsh Creek is a welcoming community that offers luxury single-family homes for active individuals 55+ in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Boasting impressive amenities, this tight-knit community provides a beautiful outdoor pool, versatile tennis and pickleball courts, a spacious fitness center, a cozy fire pit, and more. However, the staple feature of the community is its expansive clubhouse. To optimize the clubhouse for its valued residents, the Preserve at Marsh Creek placed its trust in ModernfoldStyles and opted to install LYNX Telescopic wall systems.
Collaborating with OMNIA Group Architects and McKee Builders, ModernfoldStyles provided two LYNX Telescopic movable partitions constructed with ½ inch single glazed tempered glass.
The clear walls not only enable the clubhouse to retain its open-floor plan but also allow the common area to be flooded with natural light.
To further enhance maximum visibility of the grounds, the frames and side-mounted encased tracks were color matched to provide minimal obstruction of view when locked in place.
One wall was installed in custom powder-coated black, while the other came in powder-coated white.
Along with depicting the LYNX Telescopic system’s customizability in colors, this installation is additionally the largest one to date, standing at 30 feet wide and 10 feet high.
While aesthetics played a significant role in this project, ModernfoldStyle’s top priority was to provide a product that guaranteed ease of use due to the older ages of the residents at the Preserve at Marsh Creek.
As a result, Omnia handles were selected to effortlessly glide the walls along its top and bottom tracks from a closed to an open position.
To witness how easy to use the Omnia handles are, check out the video of the LYNX Telescopic glass wall systems.
When closed, the sliding panels stack cleanly and securely, utilizing a twin-panel stacking system that does not interfere with the clubhouse’s space.
In addition, the panels offer bottom seals that contain double-sound barrier fins. Paired with the ½ inch tempered glass, the LYNX Telescopic systems provide an STC rating of 38, which allows residents in the kitchen to not be disturbed by others playing pool in the adjacent room.
Bi-parting doors were also installed to further divide the space into more private areas, allowing multiple parties to use the clubhouse at any given time.
The LYNX Telescopic model by ZONA Glass Wall Systems blended seamlessly into the clubhouse at the Preserve at Marsh Creek. Not only did the glass walls optimize the versatility of the building, but they also complemented the beautiful grounds surrounding the clubhouse.
