High above the New York City skyline sits AllianceBernstein, an investment firm known for putting its clients first. When envisioning a new event space, their goal was clear: create a customizable environment perfect for any occasion. To bring this vision to life, they partnered with ModernfoldStyles, architect Gensler, and general contractor Structure Tone, Inc. Together, the room was transformed into a dynamic venue—ideal for hosting everything from lavish events to intimate gatherings for both clients and employees.

With the user experience at its core, the Modernfold Acousti-Clear motorized with ComfortDrive was installed to deliver smooth operation and precise alignment.

Measuring 39’-5” W x 9’-11.38” H, the wall is tailored to complement its surroundings and maintain a consistent aesthetic.

Modernfold’s ComfortDrive Automated Self-Driving Panel System delivers flexible solutions at the push of a button on an intuitive touchpad. In just minutes, the wall transforms the open-concept setting into two distinct, more intimate gathering areas.

When not in use, the partition tucks neatly behind a pair of pocket doors, keeping the floorplan open and uncluttered, and preserving the room’s aesthetic appeal.

The ComfortDrive system automatically moves panels along a recessed floor track, guiding each panel with precision, ensuring perfect alignment and full integration.

Using a separate key switch, the innovative AWA electrically activated closure securely seals the partitions. With ComfortTronic top and bottom seals and laminated glass, the system achieves a 51 STC rating, providing enhanced acoustic privacy for all types of gatherings.

Function was only part of the equation, with visual impact playing an equally vital role.

As this space was designed to serve as an event and gathering venue, a sleek and elegant aesthetic was essential. The panels are finished in RAL ‘Classic’ Black Satin powder coat with matching black trim seals. The AWA closure features Wilsonart black plastic laminate, allowing the system to blend into the surrounding décor.

This finish not only maintains design consistency but enhances the interior’s modern appeal. To complement the backdrop, a black square pattern was applied to the glass, elevating the visual interest.

The low-iron tempered glass allows natural light to fill the room during the day and offers sweeping views of the New York City skyline—a stunning backdrop for any purpose. Modernfold Acousti-Clear with ComfortDrive is the finishing touch—an exclamation point that underscores innovation, luxury, and forward-thinking design.

Every design choice was curated to convey the firm’s brand identity. From the sleek glass to the sophisticated finishes, the message of professionalism, trust, and elegance is prevalent throughout.
