Rab’s Country Lanes Expands Possibilities with Acousti-Seal Operable Walls

Rab’s Country Lanes has been a cornerstone of the Staten Island community for decades, known as much for its welcoming atmosphere as its lively bowling lanes. When it came time to renovate, Rab’s wanted to expand their offerings and create a multi-purpose event space that would elevate the guest experience. By partnering with ModernfoldStyles, they found the perfect solution. The addition of a Modernfold Acousti-Seal Premier Paired Panel partition completely reimagined the way the facility hosts events, bringing unmatched flexibility and functionality.

Rab’s wanted to design an event space that could do it all, host small private gatherings, community fundraisers, business meetings, and large-scale celebrations. Their goal was to create a space that could flex between accommodating 50 guests in a private setting or opening up to fit 125 guests in one expansive room. The challenge was finding a system that was practical, durable, and effortless to operate, while maintaining a clean and polished look.

ModernfoldStyles delivered a custom operable wall system tailored to Rab’s vision. The installation of the Acousti-Seal system included six durable panels, each 48 inches wide, with a standard vinyl finish and MDF board skins for strength. The three-inch-thick panels glide effortlessly along a heavy-duty #17 bracket mount track system, supported by steel, four-wheel ball-bearing trolleys for smooth movement. Fixed top seals and SureSet Manual Drop Seals provide a reliable two-inch operating clearance, ensuring a precise fit every time.

At a fabricated height of 7’-11.25” with a finished opening of 8’, the wall balances practicality with presence, giving Rab’s the ability to divide the room in minutes. Whether the space needs to be split into two smaller private areas or fully opened to host larger events, the Acousti-Seal Premier Paired Panel partition provides exactly the kind of flexibility the venue envisioned.
